The Innevation Center is designed to empower Nevada’s next generation of economic leaders by igniting the creative and entrepreneurial spirits in University of Nevada, Reno students, faculty, community creatives, makers, economic developers, and emerging global tech companies. Anyone in the community can become a member with privileges to the makerspaces, conference rooms, special events, co-worki

What a season! 🤖

The K-12 Robotics Center hosted its first ever Robotics Open House to celebrate and recognize the dedication and achievements of the robotics teams. Designing and building robots to compete and overcome challenges, the teams demonstrated determination, innovation and creativity every step of the way.

Thank you to the coaches, mentors and students on the robotics team for joining us in celebrating their success.

The sixth annual Makerthon has officially begun!

This year we have six teams competing for a cash prize of $2000 by designing, creating and pitching a unique product in response to an all-new prompt in just 48 hours.

The 2026 prompt: Design a physical product that helps individuals or communities stay safer and more comfortable during extreme heat. Your solution could address personal cooling, outdoor infrastructure, public spaces, transportation, or heat mitigation.
