Kirsten Marie Photography Hi! I am a Reno + Tahoe wedding and family photographer. I love storytelling, chasing fleeting moments, and light. I am there to soak it all up.

I am a Reno/Tahoe based wedding and portrait photographer also serving Baltimore, Maryland, DC, Virginia and beyond. My style is a blend of photojournalism and thoughtfully curated portraits. Every wedding is such an important day and such an honor and privilege for me to capture. I love all the pieces that make up a wedding, from the little embellishments to the shared glances. I am happy to custom tailor collections to fit your photography needs.

One of those days where the weather had a mind of its own, shifting skies, dramatic light, and lots out of our control.

But the thing I’ll remember most is their energy. Their joy was completely contagious. The kind of connection you can feel the second you’re around them , genuine, playful, and so full of life.

Getting to photograph a couple who is that deeply connected, and that fully themselves together, is the best kind of work.

A hello from your camera-shy wedding photographer. Stepping in front of the lens feels vulnerable, but I’m truly grateful you’re here.

My work lives at the intersection of candid moments and refined editorial polish. I photograph in a mixed, hybrid style to capture the real, unposed magic and the timeless portraits you’ll treasure for decades.

This year, I’m adding a few rolls of film to every wedding to bring in that nostalgic, textured feeling only film can create. It’s my favorite way to add even more emotion and authenticity to your story.

Above all, I’m here to bring a warm and positive energy to your day, because elevated weddings don’t have to feel stiff or serious. With the right team, they can be joyful, relaxed, and full of heart.

✨ Something new (and a little nostalgic) ✨

This year has been such a joy creatively — I’ve been spending more time going back to my roots, picking up my film cameras again, experimenting with different stocks, and falling back in love with the magic of analog.

There’s something so timeless about film, the softness, the texture, the way it captures light and emotion in a way that feels alive. The beauty of film lies in its imperfections, the grain, the unpredictability, the little surprises that make every frame feel like a memory you can hold.

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be offering film as part of select wedding collections moving forward. Think of it as a romantic accent to a beautifully polished digital workflow — a touch of nostalgia that complements the modern story we tell together.

Here’s to slowing down, embracing the magic, and letting a little spontaneity back into the process.
