Regardless of your political affiliation, Senator Heller's tip of the hat to Bill Murray's Groundhog Day today was genius.

As clever as the ad is, I'll admit, it left me anxious. This isn't the beginning of political season, technically that doesn't start until April 28th. But, it seems in Nevada the political waters never stop being churned. In a year when our economy is booming and the entire state is ramping up for a windfall, local businesses are going to be drowned out by deep pockets and talking heads they can't outspend or out-talk.

If you haven't worked with an media agency before or aren't sure your agency has the media team to help you navigate the waters this year, you'd better find one soon. Better yet, give me a call.

So proud to work with NDOT/OTS/Penna Powers when I see campaigns like this. Years ago, when I was struggling to find my "professional purpose," someone said to me "It's advertising Melissa, you're not going to save someone's life." I'm happy to say that person was wrong and I'm glad I stayed in advertising to get to work on life changing campaigns like this.
