From September 15 to October 15, Aleut Federal proudly honors Hispanic Heritage Month. Ever wonder why it begins mid-month? The dates align with the Independence Days of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua (Sept. 15), Mexico (Sept. 16), and Chile (Sept. 18).

Hispanic Americans have made lasting contributions across politics, science, arts, education, and military service, enriching the cultural, economic, and social fabric of the United States. From Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice, to labor rights activist César Chávez, and artists like Rita Moreno and Lin-Manuel Miranda, their impact continues to shape our history and inspire future generations.

We celebrate the strength, creativity, and dedication that enrich our workplaces, our communities, and our nation.

Veteran Voices: Today we honor 51 years since Jeff Khoo first enlisted in the United States Air Force, a journey that began on May 8, 1974, and continues to inspire today.

From immigrating to the U.S. to retiring as a Master Sergeant, Jeff's story is rooted in grit, gratitude, and quiet leadership. Now serving as Regional Program Director for Aleut Construction in Guam, Jeff leads by example - whether on the jobsite or on the court with his team (yes, really).
