Today we take the time to highlight our latest Employee Spotlight, Mickey. Mickey has always been excellent employee, and we're grateful he could share his experience with us here at Geotex.

Q: The first question is, what do you do here?
A: I'm an operator of multiple pieces of equipment. I run GPS, dozer, Tri-Co, I skid steer, haul trucks basically in whatever you put me in.

Q: Anything you've learned while working here?
A: I come here with dirt knowledge and didn't have a whole lot of experience at all with pipe, so I will say anything I have learned with pipe has been a learning experience.

Q: Anything you're working towards right now?
A: I would like to get more familiar with some of our GPS and just really anything that you can learn, take away to better yourself is kind of what I look forward to in coming in every day and trying to learn something new.

Q: What's ESOP been like for you?
A: [When I] first got here, ESOP was explained but I didn't really understand it. With our meetings, and some of the people that have come in, and our talks we have, really — it kind of helps you break down what it actually does. And then you see it every year and you see it growing. And as long as the company does better, we do better. So to me it actually gives you incentive to want to do better for where you're at. And you're actually part of something, it's not just a job.

Let's highlight our latest Employee Spotlight, Josh. He's an excellent employee and always shows up to do his best. We spoke with him about his experience working here at Geotex.

Q: What do you do here?
A: I'm a lowboy driver, hauling heavy equipment all over the city.

Q: Anything you've learned while working here?
A: Yeah, I mean when it comes to the way we do things, I've learned a couple tricks of the trade. Safety-wise, I've learned a lot about safety.

Q: What's ESOP been like for you?
A: Great. It's been great. It's definitely nice knowing that it's a long-term retirement and yeah, it's worth it for sure.

Q: Any final thoughts you would like to share?
A: Do your job, do it safely, show up on time every day. It's easy to along with everybody that works here. I've been here over two years and love every minute of it.
