EVACUATION ALERT: The Blaine County Sheriff has placed residents in the South Carey zone from Preacher Bridge on the East side of HWY 26 to Red Hawk Lane on Level 3 GO NOW EVACUATION STATUS due to the danger from the Wildhorse Fire in Lincoln County, Idaho. Leave immediately. It is not safe in your area.

You will not be let back in until after the fire danger has passed and the evacuation status has been lifted. Stay tuned for more fire updates and additional possible evacuations.

In Idaho, only "safe and sane" (non-aerial) fireworks are legal to use. All aerial fireworks (like bottle rockets, Roman candles, and mortar shells) are illegal to ignite anywhere in the state, even though they can be legally purchased. Always check local city and county codes, as many enforce stricter bans or prohibit fireworks entirely in high-risk areas.

🚫 BURN BAN IN EFFECT – RICHFIELD FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT 🚫

Effective June 1

Due to elevated fire danger and dry conditions, a Burn Ban is now in effect throughout the Richfield Fire Protection District.

Open burning of weeds, brush, yard debris, burn piles, and burn barrels is prohibited until further notice.

Residents are asked to use extreme caution with any activity that could cause sparks or fire. Report any smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.

Thank you for helping protect our community, farms, rangelands, and neighbors during this period of increased fire danger.

ALLOWED ACTIVITIES

The following may remain permitted unless otherwise restricted:

Outdoor cooking devices fueled by propane or natural gas.
Charcoal grills used in safe, attended locations.
Small campfires in approved campgrounds or at private residence.
