Sharing some music to do your tasks by…Michael Johnson Music just came out with a new album. I am a fan and can’t wait to get my hands on this!
Over the last several months, I’ve been slowly putting together a record called "A Road I Know".
These songs are rooted in a lot of places and memories that still feel very close to me. I was born and raised in Valley City, North Dakota and spent many years in Fargo before moving to Wisconsin, and there’s a lot of that part of the world woven into this album — including songs like “In the Timber” and “Correction Lines.” Even the artwork carries pieces of that geography with it.
Tonight I’m finally uploading the album for release on June 5. That feels pretty surreal after living with these songs for so long.
I’ve also got a handful of shows coming up over the next couple weeks, including AD German Warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright on Friday, English Prairie Distilling Co. on Sunday, Discover Driftless on Thursday the 28th, and Spurgeon Winery on Saturday June 6, the day after the release.
More soon. For now, here’s the album cover for "A Road I Know".
