So happy with Ian at SCAL Consulting Services LLC. because what he helped us with truly made a huge difference for our small farm.
We run a small farm stand and were in need of commercial coolers, but like many small businesses, buying brand new equipment just wasn’t in the budget right now. Ian works primarily with a larger company that focuses on new commercial equipment, so what really stood out to us was his willingness to go above and beyond by using his personal knowledge, experience, and network to help us find a solution that actually fit our situation.
Within a short amount of time, he was able to connect us with two used coolers that were exactly what we needed. Not only that, but he helped us think through things we honestly wouldn’t have considered on our own, like recommending sliding doors instead of traditional swing doors to save space in our farm stand. That one suggestion alone made a big difference in how functional our setup is.
He also went a step further by recommending a sign maker who will be customizing our coolers with our farm logo, which is something we’re really excited about. It’s details like that that help elevate a small setup into something that looks professional and cohesive.
We also had no idea what we were getting into in terms of the logistics. These units are extremely heavy, require proper transport, and need to be set up correctly to function efficiently and safely. Ian walked us through all of it—what to expect with weight, how to move them, what kind of access we needed, and how to position them properly once they were in place. He made sure everything was handled the right way, from delivery to setup, and gave us peace of mind through the entire process.
His depth of knowledge in commercial equipment really shows, and even though our current purchase was used due to budget, it’s very clear that he has the expertise and connections to help businesses scale up when they’re ready for new equipment in the future.
