Up to 20 years old :-

You must get your OCI card physically reissued every time you renew your foreign passport. This ensures that your facial features and document data stay updated.

Between 21 and 50 years old :-

You do not need to get the OCI card reissued when you get a new passport during this age range. However, you must always travel by carrying your valid OCI card, your current passport, and the old passport that matches the OCI card's listed number.

50 years and older :-

After you turn 50, you are only required to get your OCI card reissued once, specifically upon the renewal of your first passport after your 50th birthday. Once this reissuance is complete, you will not need to get a new physical card for any subsequent passport renewals.
