The whole house organization continues 👊Your pots and pans need to live alone and make sure u have matching lids to go with them. A coat closet is similar n that if other items start to congregate n there, u won’t b able to access your outer wear. Sort hats, gloves and scarves together. If space allows, each family member can have their own bin for those items. A closet for games and toys needs to b edited often as your kids out grow their play things. The home owners r on vacation so when they get back, she can now c what they have and do a realistic purge. The glasses cabinet was not that bad but I just sorted the matching glasses and mugs and for those of u who have an assortment of mix matched mugs that u just can’t bring yourself to get rid of, dedicate one shelf for those and put the sets together. Oh the dreaded basement laundry situation. This is actually a decent space, just needed a lot of editing, sorting and rearranging. So much more functional and pleasant to look at. Don’t u love that cast iron sink 👏 That corner cabinet n the kitchen is deep and becomes a black hole if u aren’t careful. Top shelf for things u don’t use often, middle shelf for more frequently used items and the shelf at eye level works great for ALL the water bottles, but please edit realistically. I promise u do NOT need 20 water bottles. Her husband is a big tea and coffee drinker so he gets that whole cabinet for his hot beverages👏

I started a new whole house organizing job yesterday. I have to say I really enjoy the whole house thing because then the home owner feels light, calm and organized n every room of their house. They know where EVERYTHING is‼️ It can b a game changer for the way u function n your daily life. Now I realize this is not feasible for everyone but it truly is an investment n your peace of mind. Think of it as mental health care. This pantry is small for a family of 5 and but now that I have taken everything out one drawer at a time because she doesn’t have a ton of counter space to spread all the food out. I threw away anything that was expired and sorted all the like items together. Having those pull out drawers is great and with bins to coral the pastas, rice, breakfast bars, etc, she will know what she needs and what she doesn’t. When organizing a pantry u have to take everything out which can b very daunting for the average home owner. The husband said,”I was afraid to go n there so I would just go buy what I needed”. This leads to wasting time and money not to mention causing feelings of anxiety and shame. Once all items r removed the shelves need to b wiped down with a cleaner. The food items must b edited and purged if the expiration date is past and it’s food u know u will never eat. Once u have the food u r going to keep, sort by like items: pastas, rice, breakfast bars, etc. U can also sort by theme of cooking: Asian, Mexican, Italian. With a shallow shelf pantry like this, lazy susans for oils, vinegars, condiments and 3 tiered shelves for canned goods r very functional so u can c what u have. Her baking supplies r up higher since that is not a daily need and snacks, bread and crackers r on the door organizer for easy grab and go. The slanted shelves worked great for wine to make use of that unique space. They love to cook and have dinner parties so this functional and inspiring space will lend itself well to cooking their daily meals along with those impromptu gatherings they will b proud to host

The closet was already pretty well organized. Just had to make a few changes and relocating of some items. Command hooks r great for hanging purses and belts and easy to install - no drilling needed. Now her books r sorted by hard back and paper back and easy to see and pull out. The charging cord to her computer is tucked behind the book shelf so u can’t c it and can b easily reached to plug n for it’s nightly charge. Each bathroom drawer has a product theme: hair accessories/hairbrushes and detangler/toothpaste/makeup. Loved organizing with you Madison

ATTENTION ALL SCHOOL AGE MOMS‼️ I have found my new niche. I’ve been an elementary school counselor for 31 years so helping school age children purge, edit, sort, contain and organize their bedrooms and playrooms is second nature for me. Moms u know what a struggle it is to get your kids to clean their rooms and put things away. But if an impartial “ organizer comes n and gets rid of all the excess stuff as trash, donation or relocating to somewhere more appropriate n the house and there’s a place for everything and everything has a place, your children will b excited and motivated to put things back and maintain the new organization. When one of my great nieces heard about what I did for my old neighbor and she wanted n on the action. She did a great job on the editing and u can c she has lots of stuffed animals and jewelry. With a trip to Target, we found some containers to sort all her necklaces and bracelets. She has a special bin n her closet to contain school papers she wants to save and a memory box for special cards and photos. Her collection of makeup has been relocated to a drawer n the bathroom where the light is better. We made logical choices together for where things would “live” that would b easy to access and make sense for use. She is so excited about her well organized room that I feel confident she will take the little bit of extra time to put things away. Loved our session today Madison ❤️🎯

Using drawer dividers and rolling your clothes is a game changer for knowing/seeing what u have and being more likely to wear more of your clothes than just the items that r on top‼️ #

My little helper was great at deciding “do I need it, use it or love it” We decided where things would go so it would make sense for her and she was happy to pass things on to her little sister. Mom and I decided some new cubby shelves n that one closet that is now pretty empty would b a good idea to contain things at her level especially once school starts back. Her dad, who was the driving force of this endeavor was very excited to c the finished product and we talked about a 20 minute tidy at bedtime to keep the chaos under control. Here’s to my youngest client so far 👊❤️

Some of u might remember my sweet next door neighbors that moved 10 minutes away last summer. The dad called me a couple nights ago to say Addie’s bedroom was a wreck and disorganized and they needed my help. Needless to say I jumped at the chance because yes I love to organize but even more I would get to spend time with my little side kick 👏❤️We had the best time just the two of us, editing, sorting and finding a place for everything n her room. At the end of the process we talked about strategies to maintain this new found order. What a special afternoon to do something I love with someone I love🥰

An unfinished basement laundry situation is never pretty but certainly it can b tidy and functional. That’s what happened here today. I even had John bring me the shop vac to suck up all the spider webs 😬🕷️They r coming back from the beach tomorrow to a whole house organization. I can’t wait to hear what she thinks
