Today marks the five-year anniversary of Wanda Scott & Associates!

I’m celebrating not only five years in business, but also five years of reclaiming my life, honoring my skills and experience, rediscovering the joy of why I entered this field, and nurturing it every step of the way.

I’m grateful to everyone who has been a part of this journey.

I’m forever indebted to my clients who have trusted me to support their organizations with leadership and advice. I have learned so much more about the cities and regions in which you fulfill your missions and it has been inspiring.

So grateful to those who have partnered with me in serving clients. You are all so talented and generous. I’m better as a consultant because of your perspective and skills.

And lastly, to my family and friends. Thank you so much for your love and support as I endeavored not only to create a business of my own but a new way of life as a digital nomad. Thanks for being there for me on this wild and crazy ride.

I've been reading survey results from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-Global) about DEI and workplace climate and wrote this blog because it's been on my mind.

"There are countless organizations doing good in their communities but we have to question why all the good they do still doesn't change the ways that marginalized communities continue to experience discrimination, workplace abuse, bullying, homophobia, and transphobia, ageism, and ableism in those same organizations."
