We’ve joined forces with Creatives Playground RVA to provide a Branding, Lifestyle, and Headshot Photoshoot opportunity to our chapter members and Richmond area business and career women. Whether you need branding photos for your business, lifestyle images for social media content, need to update your portfolio, or headshots for your website, LinkedIn or other business needs, this event will have what you need.

Creatives Playground RVA provides accommodations, venues, packages, and memberships to creatives and entrepreneurs in Richmond to grow on their own terms. From a filming stage, pod-cast space, lifestyle studio, event venues, and product branding space-they’ve got it all.

We're working with photographer Septima Phillips to offer these mini-shoot opportunities at a discount rate, in order to help us as Black Women brand ourselves and our businesses.

We’ll also have make-up artist Lola of LolaB Cosmetics on-site providing makeup services at an additional cost.

Those who book a Branding/Lifestyle shoot will receive a Branding consultation virtual session with ME () to prepare you and assist in aligning your business/personal brand message and identity with their shoot. I’m beyond excited to finally bring my purpose and passion to this organization I love so dearly!

On behalf of the Richmond Chapter of the Black Girl Social Club, myself and fellow Co-President Jennifer are pleased to announce, our chapter will be accepting new members beginning February 25th. We’re looking for some amazing, dope and talented women who are ready to be social and help us continue to reach new heights in the RVA area.
Enrollment will last until the chapter is filled. Be sure not to wait even a day, or you may miss out.

Honor your desire to live in your purpose, by doing at least ONE thing everyday. It doesn’t matter the size and significance of it, as long as you make consistent progress toward your goal.

The only time it’s too late to make a change is when you’re dead. Success doesn’t have a deadline. You can start or start over whenever you’re ready, all you need is the determination to do it.

We all have these deep desires and dreams, but are so quick to turn away from those opportunities and experiences because the reasons NOT to do it is often heavier than the reasons to do it. Not being an early bloomer, shouldn't dictate your feelings of accomplishment and fulfillment. The truth is, our brains ability to create and innovate increases with age and experience. It keeps developing deep into adulthood and so do our capabilities.

So let’s be honest here; the real reason we usually allow timing and age to dictate our life’s plans is because we are afraid. We are scared to take a risk, fail, and look stupid to others. Stop allowing your subconscious and perceptions make things appear harder than they are.
Release those outdated opinions about age/time and success. We live only once, so make the most out of it

On this episode, we took it back and talked about life in our 20’s and younger years: the good, the bad, and the lessons we learned in between!

I was super nervous to film this, because you most of us women hate how we look on video camera, but in spite of my initial terrified urge to say “no” when my Soror asked me to be on this episode, I stepped out on faith and began conquering that fear. Thank you Steph for the opportunity!

I purchased this book over the weekend from book store In philadelphia. When I lived in Philly, it was my favorite black owned and overall bookstore to support. I’m excited to get into this book as I’m a huge fan of and as well as some of the other authors.
