Idk about y’all but I love talking about breastfeeding 🤗 there is so much stigma around breastfeeding, but we also must acknowledge the stigma that I seen. “It’s gross”,“It hurts”, “it’s not natural”.

Breastfeeding can be a beautiful bonding experience between Mom and Baby. Let’s not ruin it with our own bias surrounding it.

4 times more likely….Black women are 4 times more likely to die due to childbirth

As a Doula, part of my role is to educate. I however will not educate to bring fear, but educate to bring awareness to those that aren’t aware. As a black woman, even though I haven’t had children myself, I’ve felt the effects of knowing a Black Woman has lost her life during, or after, an experience that’s supposed to be one of the most magical things of her life.

Often times, birthing persons aren’t told the rights they have. You don’t have to consent to any procedures, medications, or interventions.

Scare tactics are often used when it comes to forcing procedures, but with knowing your rights, you won’t feel that you’re being pressured into any situation.
