If you haven't already you need to backup your important files. Lots of broken hard drives, and lots of broken hearts.

Did you know that hard drive recovery from a completely failed hard drive may still be possible by using a clean-room data recovery service. Expect to pay $1000-3000.

TIP: Don't get mad at your computer! If you do, don't be rough with it and slam the lid down. Today a customer did exactly that and caused the hard drive to fail. Virtually everything was lost. Pictures, documents all gone except for a few.
Hard drives have a G-rating, a maximum G-force before the heads crash into the platters and cause data loss.
