Job Description: The Virginia League for Planned Parenthood has an opening for a full time Administrative Assistant to support the Administrative and Security Manager and Director of Patient Services. This person is responsible for creating and maintaining personnel files, updating agency policies, and assisting with special events and other fundraising activities, assisting with new employee orientation, generating reports used to track agency goals. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, be highly skilled at organization and multi-tasking, have a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. Required Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience preferred. Must have computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, and database experience.

Job Description: Southeastern Institute of Research (SIR), a marketing research firm based in Richmond, Virginia, has an employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will report to the Vice President, Office Administration and perform the following specific duties and responsibilities:
• 8:30 am start time: responsible for the reception desk/foyer area, answering phones, front door and attending to delivery services.
• Proofread and format documents as needed.
• Provide additional support to the Boomer Project and SIR executives as needed.
• Assist with printing and binding client deliverables.
• Set up rooms for client meetings: provide additional chairs, snacks and drinks, prepare the projector, welcome guests to the room. Clean rooms post meeting.
• Assist with returned paper surveys: opening envelopes, numbering questionnaires, data entry, simple coding.
• Test online surveys to verify programming is accurate and complete surveys when requested.
• Coordinate and track conference calls and conference room usage.
• Run local errands, including purchasing supplies from the grocery store and other retail locations as needed (Lowes, Staples, FedEx, Post Office).
• Maintain supply cabinets. Inventory and order office/kitchen/printer supplies as needed. Return empty toner cartridges.
• Load/Unload the dishwasher.
• Water plants not under contract weekly.
• Other miscellaneous responsibilities from time to time, including but not limited to, website assistance, photographer solicitation and support, GoToMeetings, etc.
Candidate Requirements:
• Professional Demeanor
• Self-starter, not requiring daily micro-management
• Detail oriented
• Well organized
• Strong verbal skills
• Ability to work quickly, under tight deadlines
• Four-year degree
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
• Administrative Assistance experience a plus
