❄️ Get Ready for Winter: Don’t Forget the Lower Unit!

This is one winterization step you don't want to skip.

If water has made its way into your lower unit, freezing temperatures can cause it to expand and potentially crack the aluminum gearcase. That can turn a simple maintenance item into a very expensive spring repair.

Changing the gear l**e before winter also gives us a chance to check for milky or contaminated oil—one of the signs that water may be getting in.

Fresh gear l**e is important. Finding a problem before the Minnesota freeze hits is even more important.

Meet Jakob — a great example of growing with the In Tune Marine team! Jakob started with us while still in high school and has now been part of the crew for over 4 years.

🔧 Role at In Tune Marine: Full-time Service Technician, working hands-on to help keep our customers on the water
🎓 Background: Graduated this spring from Alexandria Technical & Community College and has already started down the path toward becoming a Mercury Certified Outboard Technician
🌟 What makes Jakob stand out: His willingness to learn, grow his skills, and continue taking on more responsibility within our service department
