The 2025 North American Broadway tour of Moulin Rouge finished in Richmond 3/16 and I followed them down to Florida to fundraise for the next stop on the tour, Sarasota, FL!
It was an exciting evening Friday supporting the Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation with an outdoor dinner, auction, appeal on the Bayfront, a generous philanthropic audience, finished as the sun was setting across the water and just in time for our VIP guests to make their way to their seats for the start of the show!
It’s back to Richmond as our teams raise money for The Outer Banks Hospital, The Virginia Rep Theater, and the Bon Secours Hospital’s Children’s Hope Gala this evening!

A record breaking 12.4 Million raised at the 18th Annual Dick Vitale Gala Friday, May 5th at the Ritz Sarasota in the fight against pediatric cancer raising important awareness and necessary dollars for continued research in this fight to cure. I feel honored to be the Auctioneer year over year for this tremendous event and wonderful cause that hits very close to home. Our family lost my precious niece November 2022, Paris Swisher lost her fight to cancer after a strong fight and an amazing spirit throughout it all, it was not but a week after her twentieth birthday. Paris was an inspiration and an angel on this earth. She touched a lot of lives in her short life. Fundraising events like the Dickie V Gala get us closer to reaching “Victory Over Cancer” as Jimmy V said in 1993 during his famous speech at the ESPYS Awards where the start of the V Foundation was first announced.

We have been working in some pretty unique venues this year but this one takes the cake! Tonight’s event for Baptist Health is on the field at the Loan Depot Park where the Miami Marlins play. Just finished a sound check and the band is warming up. It’s going to be a fun night tonight raising money in Miami at what is a huge venue for an auction!

The original car from the classic movie, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, on display at the American Heart Association’s Richmond Heart Ball tonight!
One of the auction winners will have a chance to take for a spin as part of a larger “Ferris Bueller’s Day off of their own” package in tonight’s live auction. Love it!

It has been a wild ride this fundraising season with so many of our non-profits having their best year, donors are excited to be back in-person and they are certainly supporting in a big way! After a few postponements during the pandemic, the Moonlight Dinner Gala was a huge success, hosted by The King's Daughters to benefit the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD), a great evening, generous community, and highlight was a chance to hang and get to know some of CHKD's therapy dogs.
