I recently read an updated version of Nudge by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein. A nudge "alters people's behavior in a predictable way". We have learned a lot about behavioral science over the last 25 years. It is time to start building some of that information into our policies and processes. I recently read "The Coming Wave: Technology, Power, and the Twenty-first Century’s Greatest Dilemma" by Mustafa Suleyman and wrote a new book review. In this book, he unpacks the risks of AI and explores whether containment is possible.

If you've been following along, you know I have a very strong interest in AI, how we can use it and also how we will regulate it. One of my favorites from the book: We are at a point in history where one smart and motivated person could kill a billion people.
