t's now official so I'm excited to announce that I have been offered and accepted the position of Executive Director of the Virginia National Guard Managment Group! This is in addition to and not in place of my marketing company ASHELORE and my beloved restaurant Lady N'awlins, each of which I will maintain my current oversight and involvement level in.

This group is the non-profit operating umbrella for the Virginia National Guard Association (officers), Virginia Air/Army National Guard Enlisted Association and the Virginia National Guard Historic Foundation. These organization advocates on behalf of Virginia National Guard, its soldiers, retirees and their families throughout the year and during our Annual VNGMG Conference which this year will take place in Norfolk.

On the Historic Foundation side I'm particularly excited for our new Virginia National Guard Museum. This museum, which is still in the development and fundraising stage, will be in Downtown Richmond, adjacent to the Virginia War Memorial. It will be at the foot of the hill Chantel Crocker and I got married on three years ago right by Brown's Island and the American Civil War Museum. Fair warning, you local folks will see me make a lot of noise about making this project happen over the next few years!

I am grateful for the opportunity to help build and enhance these organizations and put my variety of skills and experience to work on their behalf.
