We are pleased to introduce Cascade Rye, an original Alt-Country/Folk Rock act based out of, and named for, the Pacific Northwest. The third band in our Summer Uncorked Vineyard Concert Series, August 14th. Both Oregon natives and with roots 8 generations deep, Jake and Kalyn Payne are the heart of the band. Though the former or latter could easily stand out on their own, watch them together and you will quickly understand why the pair have chosen to share their lives and the stage for well over a decade now. Vocal chemistry is the absolute star of any show! The style is a blend of all kinds of American music with Jake’s long time country rocker background laying the foundation for Kalyn’s sultry jazzy/pop infusion. It’s a unique sound- hard to define, easy to love. Both singer-songwriter’s at heart, the Payne’s have blended their love of storytelling with the need of a high-energy, full ensemble. Some of this valley’s finest offerings have joined forces, including long-time musical partner, Scott Eastburn, on banjo, George Virtue on keys and Chris Sande on drums. A Led Zeppelin tribute returns after their nearly 7-year hiatus. This band aspires to authentically capture the raw energy and mystique of the Led Zeppelin legacy. Its members (Jerry Burke-Perez, Rich Ray, Justin Gibson, Ryan Moore) balance the original recordings with live performance interpretations of legendary songs. At Eola Hills Wine Cellars, we are especially proud to recognize our own winemaker, Steve Anderson, whose service and leadership continue to inspire us both in and out of the cellar.
