Last night was a truly special evening for the Johnson family and everyone at D.R. Johnson Lumber.

During the 41st Annual Myrtle Creek Summer Festival opening ceremony, the City of Myrtle Creek honored our founders, Don and JoAnne Johnson, by dedicating the Millsite Park bandshell in their name in recognition of their lifelong service, generosity, and commitment to our community.

Forty-one years ago, JoAnne Johnson founded the Myrtle Creek Summer Festival and dedicated countless years to making it a tradition that continues to bring our community together. Don Johnson generously donated the beams used to build the bandshell years ago, creating a place where families and friends have gathered ever since.

Together, Don and JoAnne devoted much of their lives to making Myrtle Creek a better, more beautiful place to live. Their legacy of service, generosity, and community pride continues to inspire us every day.

We are incredibly honored to see their contributions recognized in such a meaningful way.

Thank you to the City of Myrtle Creek for this incredible tribute. ❤️
