SAFETY RECALL
Your safety is our top priority.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Galanz have announced a voluntary recall of certain Galanz 7.6 cu. ft. retro-style refrigerators due to a risk of serious injury or death from fire or burn hazards. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2026/Galanz-Americas-Recalls-Retro-Refrigerators-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury-or-Death-from-Fire-and-Burn-Hazards-One-Death-Reported
The recall covers only units of the Galanz 7.6 cu. ft. retro-style refrigerator with one of the following model numbers that were manufactured in 2019 or 2020 (and not units manufactured in other years): BCD-215V-62H, GLR76TRDER, GLR76TBKER, GLR76TBEER, or GLR76TWEER. If the “Galanz Household refrigerator” label in the upper left-hand corner on the back of the unit has one of these model numbers after “Model No.:” and has a date code (in YYYYMM format) ranging from December 2018 through December 2020, then the unit is covered by the recall.
If your unit is covered by the recall, promptly unplug and stop using the unit until you obtain the free in-home repair by a qualified technician that is being offered by Galanz.
You can schedule the repair at no cost to you by contacting Galanz toll-free at (888) 462-0579 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Eastern Time Monday-Friday, or online at the recall website GalanzRetroFridgeRecall.expertinquiry.com.
