To say the last 42 hours have been overwhelming would be an understatement.

In the midst of an incredibly difficult time for the Ridgeway Fire and First Responders, we have been reminded once again of just how amazing our community and our fellow emergency responders truly are.

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of our Pancake Breakfast sponsors. Your continued support means more to us than you know, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. Neighbors Ridgeway, Hi Point Steakhouse, Hyde Store, Rut-Roh's Fayette Saloon, Kub's Den Bar & Grill, The Winking Pig, Prairie Creek farm, Mueller Graphics, Ge**er Leisure Products , Union Technology Inc.

We also want to extend our deepest thanks to all of the fire and EMS agencies who have stepped up and helped the Ridgeway Fire and First Responders during this very trying time. Your support, assistance, and willingness to stand beside us has meant the world to our department and our members.

This is what the fire service and emergency services are all about — brotherhood, sisterhood, community, and standing together when times are at their hardest.

From all of us at Ridgeway Fire and First Responders, thank you. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️‍🩹🚒

The Ridgeway Fire Department is mourning the heartbreaking loss of our fallen brother, Collin Giddings, who passed away last night in a tragic car accident.

Collin proudly served the Ridgeway Fire Department for over 22 years, dedicating more than two decades of his life to serving his community and his fellow firefighters.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Collin’s family, friends, fellow firefighters, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Brother Collin. Your service, sacrifice, and memory will never be forgotten. 🚒🖤

Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department is incredibly grateful to Compeer Financial for awarding us a $7,500 grant to purchase new structural firefighting boots for our firefighters.

Grants like this are so important to volunteer fire departments, helping us provide our members with the equipment they need to safely serve our community. We are honored to have been chosen and truly appreciate Compeer Financial’s support of our department and our community!

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Ridgeway Fire & First Response! 🇺🇸

There’s something special about a community where people are willing to work hard, lend a hand, and be there for their neighbors. Today, we’re thankful for the farmers, business owners, employees, volunteers, first responders, police, healthcare workers, and everyone else who puts in the work to keep our community going. ❤️

We hope you get a chance to slow down, enjoy the day, and spend it with those who matter most. Have a safe and happy Labor Day! 🚒🚑
