I did a custom job for a client that was so cool! He’s having a car (maybe a Mustang) restored and wanted customization on the leather for the doors and backseat!
Does it make me nervous….every single time! Why…because I want to do a great job for my client.
Am I happy with the outcome…absolutely!
Never let your fears keep you from doing something awesome!

Sleeve embroidery part two!
Some of you won’t take client garments. I understand, but you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. I have a waiver for people to sign in case something happens so I’m not responsible to replace the garment and then I take this technique so part two I’m showing you my little trick of how to slip something down the arm and keep the inside of the jacket from sliding up into the rotary hook because your jacket moves backward and forward, and sometimes it can slip in there. Hopefully this will help you and and you’ve learned a new technique on how to get in these tight spaces and not ruin a garment. I’ll admit I couldn’t go down as far as I wanted honestly the sleeve, but in the end it turned out perfect. I will post a finished product on another post so you can see how nice this actually came out.

Part one Embroidering on a sleeve!
The size of a jacket will also determine the size of the sleeve..smaller jacket smaller sleeve opening and much harder to get into!
This is how NOT to sew the sleeve to the body. And high end jackets is not something I want to replace!

The addiction is real, fabric and sewing addiction that is!!
I love to sew and love making quilts. It’s all I can do to control myself in a fabric store as fabulous at this one! If you get to Indiana you have to plan a visit to Zig Zag Corner Quilts in Greenfield! It has a to do die for selection of fabrics as well as being a top notch Bernina dealer!!!

Had the pleasure of training of a young lady in Utah this week! Molly has skills of her own in the quilt world and we meshed together well, making for a great training. Although we could have used two more days 😆! She’s going to add her new embroidery skills to her business “Reclaimed Stitch”!

What a great training at Zig Zag Corner Quilts in Greenfield Indiana!! Yes I go everywhere! I fell in love with this shop, the staff and the owners! I have made more new friends and love that I know people from everywhere I go! They made me feel so welcomed and comfortable…I would have stayed and worked for them on Saturday if I could have. It was fun watching all the shop hoppers come in too!
I showed my skills and they shared their skills with me too! I’m in love with long arm quilting now!
