Important Updates to NJ CCW

Thank you for completing the NJ CCW Qualification with Iron Sykes Consulting.

Most recently New Jersey enacted new Fi****ms qualifications that must be completed before October 1, 2023, or you WILL LOSE YOUR NJ CCW PERMIT. See new updates to N.J. Stat. § 2C:58-4 (https://casetext.com/statute/new-jersey-statutes/title-2c-the-new-jersey-code-of-criminal-justice/chapter-2c58-registration-of-manufacturers-and-wholesale-dealers-of-fi****ms/section-2c58-4-permits-to-carry-handguns #:~:text=Section%202C%3A58%2D4%20%2D%20Permits%20to%20carry%20handguns%20a,as%20prohibited%20by%20subsection%20e.) . We understand their is confusion regarding if you still need to complete the new interim training and application. We recommend reaching out to your local PD or NJSP barracks for confirmation however, we are following the new updates per N.J. Stat. § 2C:58-4(g)(2) effective December 22, 2022.

The two requirements are as follows:
- The applicant successfully completes a Use of Force Training for Private Citizens.
- The applicant successfully qualify on a course of fire substantially similar to HQC2

Happily, Iron Sykes Consulting's course of fire was substantially similar to HQC2 as you may have noticed on your certificate that was given upon completion.
THUS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE FI****MS CERTIFICATION AGAIN!

The only part that needs to be completed is the Use of Force Training for Private Citizens.

We will be offering this (via Zoom) on the following dates leading up to the October 1, 2023, deadline: All courses will be at 7:00PM via Zoom and will last approximately 1 ½ hours. You will be required to turn on your camera and it will be recorded to show proof that you took the course.

The cost of the course and paperwork that needs to be completed is $50.00.

I wish I didn't have to charge anyone, but I have to pay instructors and do all the paperwork to send to everyone so they can submit.

I will email the Zoom link the night before the classroom so it does not get lost in your email.

Once the classroom (ZOOM) is complete, I will send to your email the "New Jersey Permit to Carry Safe Handling and Proficiency in the Use of Handguns Certification" form. You will submit this to your local police department.

REGISTER & ATTEND NJ CCW Course

Everyone who registered for ISC's NJ CCW Course has been contacted, however, we have additional spots available. Please visit our website where you can reserve and pay for your spot, ensuring you will be able to attend for the date you selected.

If you have already filled out a similar form, this is a different form and submission of the form will result in a spot for that particular class. Payment is required to submit the form.

If you have not received an email since registering for one of our classes, please either send us an email at [email protected], call us at 609-741-8139, or send us a Facebook Message. We have found that people have mistyped their email addresses and therefore are not receiving emails from us to confirm their attendance for the class.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not confirm your attendence, you will be removed from the list as we have waitlists for all of our classes currently.

*****NJ CARRY PERMIT COURSE OF FIRE*****
Hi everyone!

Thank you for all of your patience as we have worked through receiving new information, working with scheduling and ensuring that our course is up to par with NJ state guidelines. In this post, you will find the course of fire and the updated information regarding the course.

IF YOU ARE ALREADY REGISTERED: We will be contacting you in the next few days letting you know what day you are scheduled. It will be one of the days that you registered for. (For example, if you registered for August 7th & 8th, we will let you know if we have you down for the 7th OR the 8th.) Please be patient with us as we work through everyone that is registered and/or on the waitlist.

Helpful information about the application process can be found on Range609's page (United Uniforms)-- we will be sharing their Q&A post in case anyone has trouble finding it.

*****IMPORTANT UPDATE ISC's NJ CCW*****
ISC has received clarifying information from the NJ State Police in writing, as to the fi****ms qualification course, in accordance with NJAC 13:54-2.4(b). After receiving this information, ISC has made the following adjustments to our NJ CCW Course.

- Cost $285 has been REDUCED to $100.
- 500 rounds has been REDUCED to 90 rounds.
- Two day course has been REDUCED to ONE DAY.
- NJ Resident is NOT A REQUIREMENT.

**DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE SO**
We will reach out to all people who have registered to specify which day they are to attend. The course will be offered the same dates.

Tomorrow we will post a SAMPLE course of fire so participants can practice prior to attending the course. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience during this time with the every changing guidelines.

Should additional guidelines be published/released, we will continue to re-evaluate our course and post updates. We will also be posting Q and A's by Sunday to questions that have been frequently asked.

Hi Everyone!
We have received additional clarifying information in writing regarding the handgun training requirement in accordance with NJAC 13:54-2.4(b).

We will post FRIDAY EVENING with adjustments and modifications to our NJ CCW Course based on the guidance we have received.

Hi Everyone-- thank you for the response to our upcoming NJ CCW course! We are excited to get it up and running.

We are currently reviewing the new CCW instructions released by the NJ State Police. We will post updates after this review is complete if this will result in changes to the course.
