988 has been designated as the three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Su***de Prevention & Mental Health Crisis Lifeline and increase the accessibility of the Lifeline for individuals beginning July 16, 2022. The National Su***de Prevention Lifeline provides confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States.

988 California is a consortium of thirteen California Crisis Centers answering calls, texts, and chats, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. 988 California Crisis Centers are accredited by the American Association of Suicidology and designated by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Ripon Consolidated Fire District is celebrating its Centennial and we want to celebrate with our community! Join us on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at Ripon Fire District's Station 1 for an Open House. We'll have lots of equipment and apparatus on display, ladder truck demonstration, kids coloring area, Battle the Blaze game, and more! Plus, there will be special Centennial items for sale including yearbooks, cookbooks, t-shirts, challenge coins, and more.

Oh, and we can't forget the food from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM including FREE hot dogs and shaved ice (while supplies last). Not interested in a hot dog, no problem, the Ripon Quarterback Club will be selling their tri-tip sandwiches and Pizza Plus selling assorted slices.

Attached is the Net Control script for the July 22, 2021 Healthcare Coalition Ham Radio Communications Drill is scheduled to begin at @ 1300 hours. The drill scenario is a Public Safety Power Shut-Off (PSPS).

IMPORTANT: Make sure you share this information with your radio operator(s).

NOTE: The Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) Grant requires that we conduct a redundant communications exercise once every 6 months (July and January), therefore this is one of the mandatory exercises for the 2021/22 fiscal years.

Healthcare Ham Radio Communications Drill Demonstration You Tube Video

You have an amateur radio license, but don’t have a radio
• You can borrow a Yaesu VX-170 portable radio from the healthcare coalition cache, by submitting a resource request in WebEOC (Follow the same process as requesting PPE during the pandemic)

Need an amateur radio license
• The Stockton Delta Amateur Radio club conducts Ham Crams (get your license in one day) events throughout the year. For more information visit http://www.w6sf.org/hamcramsignup.html

Need a volunteer radio operator to participate in this drill at your facility
• Complete and submit a Disaster Healthcare Volunteer Mission Request Form, including a facility map where the volunteer is to check-in, by no later than July 15th.
• If you request a volunteer, plan on providing them with lunch prior to the start of the drill
• All deployed volunteers are registered Disaster Service Workers and have state funded workers’ compensation insurance
