Effective May 1st, 2022, Andy's Repair and Small Engine will be temporarily closed. I expect from 1-2 months. Upon reopening (if indeed that happens) I will not be accepting new customers, and openings for repairs will limited. If you have a machine currently here, the repairs will be completed. If you have already talked to me about a service, I will be honoring that request. Thank you to all my customers from the last few years, and I hope to serve you down the road.

Tonight's project. Got a tecumseh generator, wont run. Determined it has a compression issue because was easy to pull over, no compression stroke. Verified with leak down test. Exhaust valve not seating. Pulled head. This is pretty common with these older horizontal shaft engines. The seats and valves wear down. Going to remove the valve and grind off the smallest amount possible from stem to reach proper clearance. Plenty of years left.
