Aircraft covers, shields, and barriers are essential components of aircraft maintenance and flight operations. Yet one of the most overlooked sources of aviation risks isn’t the protective equipment itself but the tools and methods used for installation.

For decades, ladders have been the default installation method for aircraft covers and protective devices. However, ladders introduce unnecessary risk to both the personnel and the aircraft, while slowing down operations and increasing long-term costs.
