No one is talking about this Ai and influencer situation. My advice: Don’t take the bait.

I coach a lot of influencers and I talk a lot about Ai in content creation. So when I kept seeing multiple influencers use Ai to create content to sell a product that they have never bought, used, or even touched, I thought this was a conversation worth having.

Ethical Ai use for content creators will be a conversation we need to have over and over again as new things come up.

Influencers, your currency is trust. We are currently living in a trust economy meaning that trust is one of the most powerful currencies.

So, yes. Using Ai in this way can sell a bunch of products and you can be first to get the post out about new products, but at what cost? Can you legitimately speak to the quality or the texture? Can you really put your name behind something that you’ve never used? And if you do and people purchase and it’s a waste of money, then you slowly decrease your influence because you’ve used up your trust on a quick money grab.

Don’t fall for it. It seems easier because it is in the short term, but trust is earned and hard to get back once it’s lost.

What do you think about this?

21 year old me would be shocked I’m writing this.

If you’ve been doing business for a while, leave some advice.

If you’re just starting, leave your worries.

Then let’s help each other out.

The 6-figure Instagram Club is here and I want you to be a part of it.

Comment “mango” for your 7 day free trial.

(You don’t have to be making 6-figures, just want to make 6-figures. You bring the desire and I’ll help you get there.)

I’m completely changing my business model, any questions about that?

Using Canva can get you flagged on Instagram for using Ai.

Meta’s automated Ai detection system is flagging content that uses Ai in the content creation process.

So, if you used the background remover tool to remove that background in Canva, then it could get flagged as Ai content.

Many creators use the background remover tool and other Ai tools to help speed up the creation process but are not using Ai to generate the ideas and the content. How do we distinguish between the two?

Also, what happens when our accounts do get flagged for Ai content? How does that affect our reach and engagement?

Ai is useful in creating content AND we need more transparency that Ai is being used. How do we solve for both?
