A new Canine Good Citizen class will be starting this Tuesday evening April 30th at 6 o'clock P.M.
This is a 6 week course.
1. Meeting friendly strangers.
2. Sitting politely for petting.
3. Accepting Vet exams and grooming.
4. Out for a walk... no pulling.
5. Walking through a crowd.
6. Sit, Down, Staying place.
7. Come when called.
8. Reactions to another dog.
9. Reactions to distractions.
10. Supervised Separation.

This 12 week old yorkie is in for potty training and to learn she can't get out of trouble by using her cuteness.
Also to learn to contain energy..... I'm hoping her mom did not install Duracell batteries!

A wonderful family came out today to one of our Behavior Workshops in Memorial Park in Upland next to the Friends of Upland Animal Shelter, to learn some dog handling skills with their three month old puppy. They got help today for controlling excitement, pulling on leash, jumping up on people, and Out!...drop what you have in your mouth. They even involved their young son to learn rules.
Thank you to this awesome family for making such a commitment to train this cute little pup before he becomes a big unmannered monster..... It saddens us when people don't understand that all breeds need to be taught manners.They will soon have a dog people want to be social and interact with, instead of fear him....more to come. :)
Classes held Saturdays from 12:30 to 2 pm.
$100 for four classes.
