Too often leaders are looking for people who always make them comfortable or share similar personalities. This leads to a lack of creativity, open thought and real collaboration. It isn't suppose to be easy as a leader. Let me say it AGAIN...It isn't suppose to be easy as a leader. Your job is to reach and serve as many as possible allowing each one of them to bring their talents, ideas and abilities to the team. Diversify and engage all the leaders in your conversations. The reward is a team that everyone feels a part of!

Never forget ... it’s not about the money or the position or the power, but about what you can do for others when given the opportunity to do so. Keep your heart in the picture; it fades for people who fall prey to the wrong idea of success, in fact, their entire world revolves around their accomplished position or the next thing they buy. Don’t be impressed by positions or things. Be impressed with selfless and humble people.
