Meet Katie, one of Swim's Solutions Consultants. She knows there's no one-size-fits-all approach to this work, and she loves helping institutions find the path that's right for them. Outside of work, she's all about Texas, her son, reality TV, and soccer.

1. What's something you've learned from working so closely with colleges and universities?
Just because something works at one institution does not mean it should be replicated at another. There is no formula for this kind of work. Each client deserves a unique, student-centered approach. My favorite response to a question I ask is, “I haven’t thought about that yet.” I know right then that we have found an opportunity to create something new and innovative. I never want to rely on, “Well, at my previous university, we did this…” I want to approach every institution with fresh eyes!

2. What type of challenge gets you most excited to solve?
I am really enjoying the accountability and project management side of this work. I love being action-minded, so working through governance structures, RACI charts and implementation tasks has been especially rewarding. I get excited when I can help turn a big idea into clear actions, ownership, and forward movement.

3. If you won the lottery tomorrow, what's the first thing you'd do?
Honestly, it has to be a luxury vacation. I’m talking first class to Greece with my closest people, great food, and all the shopping! I will settle down and be responsible after!
