Thankful for a great first week of May. Wheat trials are ready for seed rep observations, corn planting is complete and stand counts have started to be recorded, some early planted cotton will be emerged by Monday, and over 1/2 way done planting cotton and peanut trials in Northampton County locations.

Cover crop study in Jackson. Comparing wheat, oats and rye to improve soil health, erosion control plus some treatments adding vetches, clover etc to fix nitrogen and cycle other nutrients.

We are heartbroken over the passing of one of our own. Jesse Lindsay had been with us since he graduated high school over 7 years ago. Over the years we have had the privilege of watching Jesse grow, learn and thrive in his element. He was one of the best mechanics around and could fix just about anything. He had such a gift for just intrinsically knowing what to do. He was an integral part of our Fowler Crop family and he will be missed more than words can express.

Please continue to keep Jesee’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

The family will have visitation Saturday, 2-3pm, at Rosemary United Methodist Church

The funeral will follow at 3:30pm.

The family has asked all former and current Fowler Crop employees to honor Jesse by wearing jeans, a Fowler Crop shirt or Carhartt shirt, and a Fowler Crop hat. We have plenty of hats if anyone would like one to wear.
