Sharing this internship opportunity at the 4-H Rural Life Center from our friends over at Halifax County 4-H

We’re hiring a Summer Intern for Halifax County Cooperative Extension! ☀️🌱

Spend 10 weeks (May 13–July 24, 2026) gaining hands-on experience in Extension and youth development. Our intern will work closely with Sydney Johnson, 4-H Agent & Camp Director, and the 4-H camp staff throughout our summer programming — plus collaborate with other Extension agents in the Halifax Office to explore the wide range of careers and opportunities within Extension. If you’re interested in leadership, education, agriculture, or community programming, this is an incredible way to build your skills and résumé.

📅 Application Deadline: March 6

Applicants must submit:
• A PDF list of two references (with contact information)
• A PDF résumé including major and current GPA
• Latest college/university transcript (unofficial accepted)
• A separate PDF listing the specific county location(s) you are applying to

HCC Small Business Center and the Small Business Center Network is opening applications for the 2026 SBCN Startup Showdown, with up to $30,000 in startup funding available.

Beyond the funding, participants receive:
• Entrepreneurship training and mentorship
• Business planning tools and pitch coaching
• A professionally produced pitch video
• Statewide exposure

Applications open March 1.
