🚨 URGENT CALL TO ACTION – REJECT THE GOVERNOR’S AMENDMENT! 🚨
The Save Local Pharmacies Act (HB2610/SB875) passed with strong bipartisan support, but Governor Youngkin returned it with an amendment that weakens patient and pharmacy protections. If this amendment passes, Virginia will face more pharmacy closures, reduced access to care, worsening working conditions, and continued PBM abuse with no transparency.

Here’s what to do:

▶️ If your Delegate or Senator is Republican — Contact them now and urge them to reject the Governor’s amendment before the April 2 deadline.
▶️ If they’re not Republican — Encourage them to stay strong and prepare to support an override if needed.

Join the Roanoke Valley Pharmacy Association on Friday, February 28th for a fun night watching the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs take on the Pensacola Ice Flyers with other pharmacists and technicians from around Virginia! Conveniently located less than a 15-minute walk from the Hotel Roanoke (hosting VPhA 144th Annual Convention from February 27-March 1, 2025), gates to the Berglund Center Coliseum will open at 6:00 pm and the puck drops at 7:05 pm. Grab a chair or blanket and join other pharmacists and technicians for a fun night at an outdoor concert featuring Fuzzy Logic! This is the opening night of the Daleville Summer Concert Series at the Daleville Town Center (90 Town Center Street, Daleville, VA 24083).

Gates open at 5:00PM. Tickets are purchased at the gate and the $5 entry fee will be paid for by RVPhA for those who RSVP. Children 12 and under are free.
