Our business is focused on providing architecture planning, design, and construction services for the private, public, and government sector. Working within Southwest Virginia has been the focus of our business since the beginning. If you could visit any building in the world, what would it be? What's at the top of your architectural bucket list?

Stephen's pick: Basilica at St. Andrews

"The Basilica at St. Andrews was built between 1900 and 1902 in the High Victorian or Gothic Revival style of architecture. It is an iconic building perched on a hill as you pass through downtown Roanoke, one that you can’t miss.
I think it is a style of architecture that most would not expect to find in Roanoke. The spires tower above the surrounding buildings and beckon you to visit this historic building. Upon seeing it for the first time, my young niece insisted it was Cinderella’s castle!" 🏰

Thank you to MB Contractors and Christina Bradley for this beautiful tribute to Lou and for honoring his service through the Quilts of Valor Foundation. It was a such a special moment to see Lou recognized for his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

We’re grateful to MB for helping celebrate Lou and the sacrifices he made in service to our country. This is a memory we’ll treasure. 🇺🇸❤️

🕰️ A little piece of history still keeping time!

In 1929, Colonial National merged with American National Bank to form Colonial American National Bank. One of the building’s most distinctive features was and remains the beautiful copper and stained glass clock projecting from the corner of Campbell and Jefferson.

And there’s more to this clock than meets the eye. Chimes are tucked inside, while “Colonial American Bank” is spelled out in the stained glass. A unique detail from Roanoke’s past that’s easy to miss if you don’t look up! ✨

Hassan's pick: Sagrada Família

"Sagrada Família is at the top of my architectural bucket list. The combination of structural engineering, geometry, and natural forms is unlike anything else. It's amazing that construction began in 1882 and is still continuing, making it a living piece of architectural history."
