51 years.

That’s 51 years of memories, friendships, laughter, and a whole lot of hard work. Today, we closed our doors for the very last time… and it’s hard to put into words what that truly means.

To our customers—our friends, our community, near and far—thank you. Thank you for showing up, for supporting us, for trusting us, and for being part of our story all these years. We wouldn’t have made it 51 days without you, let alone 51 years.

This wasn’t just a business… it was family. And each of you played a part in that.

So as we say our final goodbye, just know how grateful we are. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for an unforgettable 51 years. ❤️

Once a part of this place, always a part of it.

Today’s the day.

A day 51 years in the making… built on sweat, sacrifice, long days, loyal customers, and a whole lot of heart.

Today, the legend hangs it up and the doors close for the final time.

If you can, stop in. Share a memory, a handshake, a hug. Send some love and encouragement for a man who gave so much to so many.

This isn’t just an ending—it’s the start of a brand new chapter. And I hope Grandpa soaks up every second of it, because no one has earned it more.

Here’s to 51 incredible years… and everything that comes next. ❤️

I don’t think any of us are ready to say this out loud…

This is the last week.

After 51 years… Friday will be the final day these doors are open.

There are empty spaces where machines once sat. The floor looks different now. Quieter. And with every item that leaves, it feels like a little piece of history goes with it.

Because this was never just a store.

It was where friendships were made.
Where stories were shared.
Where people came in as customers… and left as family.

And at the center of it all has always been Carl.

For 51 years, he showed up.
Through the long days. The hard seasons. The sacrifices no one ever saw.
Trips postponed. Time given. A life built around making sure this place—and this community—were taken care of.

He gave this town everything he had.

And now… it’s time.

Time for slow mornings.
Time for sunshine.
Time for the trips that had to wait.
Time for family, laughter, and a life he’s more than earned.

But before that chapter fully begins… we have one last chance to show him what he means to all of us.

If this place, if Carl, has ever meant something to you… now is the time.

Stop in.
Share a memory.
Give a hug.
Say thank you.

And if you can’t make it in—we are still collecting cards for him.

One week. 7 days. That’s all that’s left.

We’ve said it before… but now it feels real.

Every day, the store looks a little different.
A few more empty spaces.
A few more machines gone.
A few more goodbyes we weren’t quite ready for.

What started as a small dream turned into something so much bigger than just a store. It became a place full of conversations, friendships, laughter, and memories that we will carry with us forever.

And now… we’re down to the final days.

Well friends… the final days are here 🧵❤️

It doesn’t feel real how fast it’s all gone, but our last day is the 24th and we’d love to see as many familiar faces as we can before then. We still have a few things left to add to your sewing family, and a small stock of vacuums looking for a home.

If you’ve ever thought about stopping in one more time… now’s the time.

Also — if you’ve got a machine here for service, they’re all finished up and ready to go! Please make sure they’re picked up by the 22nd.

And one more thing that means a whole lot to us…

If he’s ever made you laugh, helped you out, or been part of your story, send a little note his way. Funny, sweet, or somewhere in between — we’ll make sure he gets every single one on the 24th.

With Carl’s retirement and our closing right around the corner, the store is changing more every single day—and not in a way we’re ready for. The floors that used to be full… are opening up. Shelves that stayed stocked for years are now running thin.

It’s hard to see.

But at the same time… this sale has been incredible, and YOU all have shown up in the best way. ❤️

After years of dedication, friendship, and unforgettable memories, Carl(Grandpa) is retiring. While this chapter is coming to a close, the impact he's made will last forever.
