Courage! Everyone wants it but nobody wants to pay the price for it!
Inside we learned that courage is not always celebrated in the moment. Most of the time, no one stands up and claps when you hold a difficult position.
Courage often costs something; discomfort, a little belonging, or the feeling of being liked. Sometimes you hold your position and the room gets awkward. Sometimes you stop over-explaining and someone walks away annoyed. Sometimes choosing the brave thing costs you something real.
In all of those moments, courage is still the right choice. Whatever courage looked like for you this week, whether it was a big move; a small moment; or an honest question you asked yourself; name it.
Women often talk themselves out of courageous action not because they lack courage, but because in the moment of decision, fear has more data than confidence does. The Courage Calculus gives leaders a structured pause. A moment to assess before defaulting to safety.
There is something in your life right now—a conversation you've been avoiding, a decision you've been postponing, a boundary you haven't set—where courage is needed. Run it through the three questions today.
