Replaying sessions after they end is more common than people admit.

You go over what was said.
You question your timing.
You wonder if you handled it the right way.

Most people assume it’s a confidence issue.

But often, it’s something else.

It’s what happens when your responsibility is high—
but your training didn’t fully prepare you for what can unfold in real time.

So your mind tries to process it after.

That’s where the doubt comes from.

Not from lack of care—
but from lack of clarity in those deeper moments.

When you build the right skill set,
you don’t need to second-guess yourself the same way.

Because you’re grounded while it’s happening.

If you’re ready for that shift,
comment 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟 and I’ll share more.

If you’re replaying sessions after they end…

Wondering if you said the right thing.
If you missed something.
If you handled it well enough.

It’s easy to assume it’s self-doubt.

But most of the time, it’s not.

It’s what happens when you care deeply—
without being fully equipped for what came up in the room.

Because when you know how to navigate those moments,
you don’t carry the same uncertainty with you after.

You leave with clarity.

That’s what trauma-informed training changes.

We test cholesterol. We test blood sugar. We test vitamin levels.

But there’s one thing most people never test that plays a role in inflammation, brain health, and cellular function.

𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙜𝙖 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙙 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚.

These fats are literally part of the structure of your cells — including your brain and nervous system.

When the balance is off (which is very common today), it can influence things like:
▪️inflammation levels
▪️heart health
▪️brain signaling
▪️energy and recovery

The good news?

This is something that can actually be 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥.

I recently started sharing this simple test-based approach with clients and friends because the science behind it is fascinating.

If you'd like to learn how the test works, comment 𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧 and I’ll send you the details.

A lot of practitioners quietly experience this:
You love your work.
You care deeply about your clients.

But over time, the sessions start to feel heavier.

You find yourself:
– thinking about clients long after sessions end
– feeling emotionally drained
– carrying energy that isn’t yours

It’s often labeled as a “𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲.”

But more often, it’s a regulation issue.

Because if your nervous system isn’t grounded,
it will naturally take on what’s happening in the room.

Learning how to regulate doesn’t make you less caring.

It allows you to stay present—
without losing yourself in the process.

If you’re ready to experience that shift,

I didn’t expect this part of the work.

Leaving sessions feeling heavy.
Replaying everything.
Carrying emotions that weren’t mine.

Not because I didn’t love what I did—
but because I didn’t know how to separate caring from absorbing.

So I kept giving more.
Holding more.
Taking more with me after every session.

Until I learned how to work with the nervous system.

And everything changed.

I could still care deeply—
without carrying it all.

That’s a skill most professionals are never taught.

One of the most surprising things I’ve learned studying the brain and trauma is this:

Inflammation and emotional resilience are deeply connected.

When the body is inflamed, the nervous system often becomes more reactive.

People may notice things like:
* feeling more stressed
* difficulty sleeping
* mood shifts
* brain fog

What many people don’t realize is that a major driver of inflammation can be something very simple:

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨.

Modern diets have dramatically shifted this balance over the past 50 years.

When we bring that balance back toward what the body was designed for, many people notice improvements in:

✔️energy ✔️focus ✔️resilience ✔️overall wellbeing

It’s a simple shift — but a powerful one.

If you're curious about the approach I personally use to measure and support this balance, comment 𝘽𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 and I’ll send you the information.

There’s a difference between being supportive…
and being able to hold emotional depth in real time.

Because when a client begins to unravel,
the room changes.

And in that moment, your presence matters more than your words.

Many practitioners are taught what to say.

But not how to stay grounded
when things become intense or unpredictable.

So they compensate by:
– softening the conversation
– redirecting too quickly
– or absorbing more than they should

Not because they’re doing it wrong—
but because they were never taught another way.

Emotional safety isn’t about being nice.
𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆.

If you’re ready to build that level of capacity,

05/20/2026

Emotional safety is often misunderstood.

It’s not about avoiding hard conversations.
And it’s not about being “𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲” in sessions.

It’s about staying steady
when your client isn’t.

When emotions rise…
when things start to unravel…
when the session moves into unfamiliar territory—

Can you hold that without losing your own center?

That’s a skill most professionals are never formally taught.

But it’s what defines real depth in this work.

Most people think about health at the symptom level.

But true wellbeing begins at the cellular level.

Every cell in your body is surrounded by a membrane made largely of fatty acids. Those fats influence how the cell:

* communicates
* absorbs nutrients
* regulates inflammation
* signals the brain

When the balance of these fats improves, the body tends to function more efficiently.

This can support:
✔️ brain health
✔️ heart health
✔️ immune balance
✔️ overall vitality

Your body is constantly rebuilding itself.

Giving it the right raw materials can make a powerful difference.

If you'd like to see the test-based nutritional approach I personally use to measure and improve this balance, comment 𝘽𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 below and I’ll share more.

One of the most confusing moments as a practitioner is this:

You know you said something valuable.

The client resonates with it.
They even thank you for it.

But nothing actually changes after.

That’s often where people assume:
“I need better questions.”
“I need stronger tools.”

But the issue usually isn’t the method.

It’s that the client’s nervous system isn’t in a state where it can receive the work.

And until that shifts,
insight alone won’t create transformation.

That’s why trauma-informed work matters.

Because it teaches you how to recognize what’s happening beneath the words—
and how to work with it safely.
