“It has long been recognised that trafficking for the purpose of the exploitation of the victim’s prostitution (s*x trafficking) is the most common form of human trafficking and that the vast majority of its victims are female. This is down to the vast profits that can be made selling women and girls in prostitution.

By way of example, a British man recently made £1.6 million in one year from the prostitution of women in his brothels. As Tony Talbott put it, “You can sell a kilo of he**in once; you can sell a 13-year-old girl 20 times a night, 365 days a year.”

Such profits are powerful incentives, especially when they come with few risks. Human trafficking for forced labour on a farm, for example, is seldom going to elicit such eye-watering profits. Both forms of trafficking are appalling but being used and abused s*xually by multiple men a day is a different order of violation and causes a different order of harm.”

I just click on all kinds of things these days. Today, this has resulted in an amusing pairing of Russell-related events that are offered for my interest, but that I’m not going to further investigate just right now.

When will this be a national priority?

Almost 15 percent of teen girls said they were forced to have s*x, a 27 percent increase over two years. Thirteen percent attempted su***de, compared with 7 percent of boys.

Women. Life. Freedom.

May our hearts, thoughts and prayers today flow towards and with our Iranian sisters who have risen up in fury and solidarity over the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in custody of the “morality police” last week. Women on the streets are now putting their own lives on the line and burning their hijabs and cutting their hair in protest over this beautiful sister’s needless death.

While I am creating art, trying to immortalize a dead girl because it’s what I do. I do not know what else to do.

Mahsa was a beautiful, 22 year old woman visiting the capital from the Kurdish area of Iran, who was detained for improperly wearing her hijab (for having too much of her hair showing). She was severely beaten and died shortly afterward. But this singular act has polarized the women of Iran who are now overwhelming the streets and burning their own hijabs in protest, shouting over and over again just three words: “Jin. Jiyan. Azadi.”

Which translates to: Women. Life. Freedom.

But not without cost; At least NINE**women and men as of this writing have died protesting Mahsa’s fate and the regime. There is rioting in the streets with Iran partially shutting down the internet and cell phone service and still their voices will not be denied. The outrage has spread like a wildfire across the world with women protesting from Turkey to Berlin keening those same three words, over and over again, as the rallying banner cry. Jin. Jiyad. Azadi.

This is why I ask that whatever you are doing, you stop and pause with me in spirit, close your eyes and stand in conscious solidarity with these women, with our sisters across the world in support of this rising up of the Divine Feminine. Hand to hand and heart to heart let us pray that the eyes of the world would be opened, and awakened to the call for awareness and action regarding the rights of women everywhere, and particularly in countries where women are not heard, where they have no voice, and where their stories remain largely untold.

May we stand united as one in heart, truth and spirit - no matter our faith - so that they may be heard.

So that WE may be heard with them:

“The first generation of kids who grew up with the baby-led approach are now in their late teens and early 20s, and we are currently living in a baby-led world. Young people have always believed that they know better than the older generation, and now the older generation agrees with them. Middle-aged and experienced editors working in journalism and publishing live in fear of printing something that might displease the twenty-somethings who work in their company’s digital and publicity departments. Parents defer to their teenaged children about the correct languages to use and opinions to hold.”

Adults shouldn't capitulate to teen ideology

“The father’s support to the mother (such as praising them or helping with household chores) was associated with improvements in child development and improvements in the mother’s mental health.”

Most research about parenting focuses on the role of the mother, but how important is a father’s involvement in their children’s development? A study published in Social Science and Medicine suggests that though greater involvement of the father was associated with positive child development, it...

“Its understandable that any young person exposed to this kind of belief system would grow to deeply resent being white, “cis”, straight, or (biologically) male. The beauty of gender ideology is it provides a way to game this system, so that you can get some of those targets off your back and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded youths. You can’t change your race, pretending to have a different s*xuality would be very uncomfortable in practice, but you can absolutely change your gender, and it’s as easy as putting a “she/they” in your bio. Instantly you are transformed from an oppressing, entitled, evil, bigoted, selfish, disgusting cishet white scum into a valid trans person who deserves celebration and special coddling to make up for the marginalization and oppression you supposedly now face.”

“But, scrabbling desperately with one another for status, and horrified at the idea of ever falling into the ranks of the mere working class, the overproduced elites have found another solution: they’ve set themselves up, not as the nobility, but as the First Estate, the new clergy, where they can labor diligently to produce basically nothing but the “right” opinions to police our collective moral rules. And now they’ve succeeded in creating their own job market (e.g. critical theorists, diversity consultants) out of thin air. Or as Mary Harrington recently put it succinctly: “Once you start seeing the calls for moral re-evaluation of everything as a mass job application on behalf of an ever-expanding surplus of arts graduates it’s difficult to unsee.” And in this crowded, hyper-competitive world of the bourgeoisie, the surest way to move up is to take someone else down – hence “cancel culture” and the vast, elaborate, ever-changing, mandatory “correct” vocabulary that functions as a way to help w**d out any of the competition (or dirty proles) who can’t keep up. Thus Wokeness.”

None of the fundamental drivers of “Wokeness” have relented
