It's been too long since a Monday Mention, I'll work on getting back on schedule. For this mention, we are featuring Jonathan Meagher-Zayas of Equity Warrior Strategies, LLC! Jonathan just led a workshop at our center on fundraising strategies for LGBTQ+ leaders; we all walked away with some amazing ideas and new ways of thinking about fundraising, I can't recommend his work enough.
Jonathan is a Q***r Latinx Millenial Nonprofit Leadership Strategist dedicated to addressing equity issues, building capacity, engaging the community, motivating impact leaders, and getting stuff done. Jonathan has 13+ years of non-profit experience and has raised over $14 million through major gifts, corporate relations, events, foundation philanthropy, government grants, and annual giving initiatives. He is also a co-chair of the + LGBT+ Giving Circle, an adjunct professor at the University of Albany, and a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a board member of 540WMain, Inc.
We are planning on adding a new "Non-Profit Support" section to our online LGBTQ+ Resource Directory with information on Equity Warrior Strategies, other consulting groups, foundations, and other organizations that can support our local LGBTQ+ groups and organizations.
