Meet your helper! 😉
Buckle in, it’s a long one
Hi I’m Autumn! I am a 27 yr old mother of two. I was born, raised, and am still living in the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Ok there’s the basics—now to get into the why & how. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to HELP people. In any way I could. Even if it just meant bringing a smile to someone’s face. As I entered my teenage years, I felt a strong pull to babies & children, always knowing I would be a mother one day. In 2017 I met my husband, Brian. We were engaged in 2018. Knowing we would be starting a family soon, I became fascinated with all things conception, pregnancy, motherhood, etc. I began my research on trying to conceive, especially having been diagnosed with PCOS, I knew it may not be as easy for me to become pregnant.
I was becoming more and more passionate about maternal health, and searched desperately for a way I could get involved. I stumbled across a DONA International postpartum doula workshop in Hampton NH at Relief - Parenting Respite & Resource Center, LLC. I had the absolute time of my life and learned SO much, leaving with my certificate in hand. I couldn’t wait to make a difference.
During the week of my training, I discovered I was pregnant, but sadly suffered a miscarriage a few weeks later. Devastated doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling. But we tried to keep our heads high, with our wedding just a month away. September 2019, Brian and I got hitched! And just weeks later…pregnant again! This time, baby stuck around, and in June 2020 we ended up welcoming our wild son, Michael to the world 🩵 Between Michael and his sister, we bought a house, had another devastating miscarriage, and kept on keeping on. Rainbow baby Charlotte was born in April 2023 and made our world right again 🩷
During the years of TTC, pregnancy, and babies, I took a step back from my doula business. Now that things have settled down (a little bit lol…trust me, life is still nuts), I felt compelled to rebrand and bring myself back into the field, even if it’s super part time for now. (I am home practically full time with my kids, and also work part time as a waitress & in sales for an online consignment shop).
I know it sounds cliche, but “Mama’s Helper” came to me in a dream! And I knew it was time.
So please! Refer the new mamas in your life, and the moms to be. Whether it’s their first baby or their fifth, trust me they would love a helper! 🩷
