Sometimes the problem isn’t that you need more storage.

It’s that the storage your house gave you is… interesting. 😂

Awkward corners. Deep shelves. Strange layouts. Spaces that technically count as storage but aren’t exactly easy to use.

That’s where I get creative.

For this closet, the goal wasn’t just to make everything look organized. It was figuring out how to use the space she already had in a way that made everything easier to see, access and actually put back.

Her reaction at the end?

“It looks like a store!”

And I’ll take that. 😂

Because the best organizing solutions aren’t about having the perfect closet.

They’re about figuring out how to make YOUR closet work better.

This is why I don’t automatically start by organizing.

When a room feels this overwhelming, the first goal isn’t deciding where every little thing belongs.

It’s creating enough relief to actually see what you’re working with.

For this space, that meant making a few big-picture decisions first, clearing visual noise and creating room to move before worrying about the smaller organizing decisions.

Sometimes the fastest way forward isn’t doing more.

It’s knowing what needs to happen first.

And yes… I really do want to know your answer to the question in the video. 👇

Here’s what closet organization looks like in a professional organizer’s own home. 🙃

My closet doesn’t have to look perfect to be organized. I organize based on how I actually live - what I reach for, what’s easiest to put away, and what deserves space in my closet right now.

Some things are folded. Some live in baskets. Some get hung up. And some clothes are intentionally staying even if they don’t fit today.

The goal isn’t a Pinterest-perfect closet. It’s a closet organization system I can actually maintain.

of course, the cats are always here to help!

I hit record today.

That probably doesn't sound particularly significant, but after spending the last two years avoiding the camera because I haven't felt comfortable with how I look and feel after an unexplained 60 lb weight gain, i was shocked I got the urge today to wanna chat!

The +60lbs came on quickly 2 years ago - along with the debilitating full body nerve body & migraines, making it impossible to work, all while only eating 700 cals a day... Explain that one! (Bc no one can) I'm still recovering from it all too so it's been one hell of a ride my body being in crisis mode

I decided I guess today was my day to get over it bc my body is starting to feel a little better, I love the days I get to go serve my community, and honestly I just needed to expresses my excitement bc it's been a long time coming and I was feeling pretty good today!

Today captured how grateful I am that people trust me enough to invite me into their homes and let me help them figure out the things that have become overwhelming.

It's about how much I genuinely love what I do.

About how much I love strategy and the way my brain works.

And then... I naturally got distracted by the houses, contemplated a hypothetical life in a neighborhood if someone took away my tiny house and cows idea I'm working towards, had a questionable marketing idea involving putting flyers about my business in mailboxes, and eventually got lost trying to find my client's house bc the number of private drives not clearly marked got me all confused 😂

So yeah. This feels pretty representative.

I'm still learning how to be comfortable seeing myself on camera again. Maybe I don't have to wait until I am.

The thought of opening the door to that one overwhelming room shouldn't fill you with panic. But if it does? You are not alone.

Behind closed doors, so many of us are quietly drowning in physical clutter. We tell ourselves we are intelligent, capable adults who should be able to manage a household seamlessly.

But when executive dysfunction, chronic overwhelm, and decision fatigue set in, the physical mess becomes too loud to ignore.

The truth is, home systems design isn't an innate talent - it’s a learned skillset. You don’t need prettier storage containers; you need a supportive, judgment-free plan to get you out of survival mode.

What paralyzes you is exactly what I am trained to handle.

I see right past the piles to the solutions that will bring immediate mental relief. Let's partner together to build functional home systems that actually stick.

➡️ Ready to move from survival mode to daily relief? I offer both in-person and virtual support.

Packing up a life's worth of belongings is easily one of the most exhausting things we can put our brains through.
When you add chronic overwhelm or neurodivergence into the mix, a move can feel less like a fresh start and more like complete paralysis. Every single object requires a decision: Keep? Donate? Pack? Trash?

Before long, decision fatigue takes over, the boxes pile up, and the visual noise becomes deafening.

For this project, the goal wasn't just to throw things into boxes- it was to manage the overwhelming logistics of a major transition so my client could finally breathe.

We tackled the sorting, packing, and clearing systematically:
Breaking down rooms into bite-sized, manageable steps.

Categorizing items logically so the unpacking process on the other side is a breeze.

Removing the emotional and physical weight of the process so she could focus on her next chapter.

Looking at these after photos, the physical transformation is stunning- but the emotional relief of a cleared space before moving day is the real win.

If you are staring down a big move, an estate cleanout, or a massive life transition here in the Rochester, Syracuse, or Finger Lakes area, please know you do not have to carry that weight by yourself. Let's handle the heavy lifting and design a system that supports your brain through the transition.

The first step is incredibly simple. Head to the link in my bio to fill out my quick intake form, and we will get your initial phone call scheduled to talk through exactly what you need.

When families bring me into a home, they usually think we are just going to clear out a room. But often, they are looking for something much deeper: cognitive relief for someone they love.

Swipe through to see a recent text exchange from a client’s adult child.

Her mom is overwhelmed, taking on too much, and stuck in a loop of trying to manage it all alone. When family members try to step in, it can easily lead to friction.

That is where a professional systems strategist comes in.

My job isn't to force a rigid, generic template on a client. It is to step in as an intentional, neutral third party to meet them exactly where their brain is at. We look at how their unique mind functions and design simple, sustainable routines that restore clarity without judgment.

We don't just change the physical space. We break through the decision fatigue and change the daily momentum.

If you are carrying the mental load of watching an overwhelmed parent or family member struggle to maintain their home, you don't have to navigate it alone.

Let's build a supportive plan that actually sticks. Click the link in my bio to visit my website and book a simple phone call with me.

When my client in Pittsford, NY first showed me this room, she said:

"I have no idea where to start."

She wasn't looking for prettier storage.
She wasn't looking for color-coded containers.

She needed help creating a plan.

As an artist, she had supplies, materials, and projects she wanted to use, but so much visual overwhelm that she couldn't easily access what she already owned.

In just two hours we:

✓ created categories
✓ cleared walking space
✓ identified donations
✓ grouped art supplies together
✓ built a system she can continue on her own

The room isn't finished.

But now she knows exactly what comes next.

Sometimes progress isn't about finishing.

Sometimes it's about finally knowing where to begin.

Serving overwhelmed homes throughout Pittsford, Rochester, and the surrounding areas.
