This pic is quite possibly the most perfect metaphor of how I live and work.
- A little dreamy (a sip made with love by someone else because we don’t get to the end alone.)
- A little bougie but never stuck up (a monogrammed glass that belongs to my husband. Nice things come in all forms - just enjoy the flow.)
- A trash can (because sometimes ya gotta place the great on top of a trash heap situation and keep it moving)
- A garden (because: life, God, growth, potential, breath, cultivation)
- Blue skies (because what’s possible is sometimes tucked away behind f**kery, and sometimes right in front of you. Find it. Grab it. Wherever / whenever you can.)

Spring can be hard. Nature is called to BLOOM through woody stems and frozen ground. And so are we - through the sleepy awakening of a new season. It’s okay to be slow with it…or wild…or inconvenient in your demand for space, air and love. Don’t live in the story of winter. That book is closed. Live in the promise of a new season. ❤️🌷

Most leaders don’t fail on the way up. They fail once they get there.

Getting to the top? That part’s actually not the hardest in the journey.

Holding it? That’s where most people fall.

I know, because I’ve lost monumental moments. Not because I wasn’t talented. Because I wasn’t organized, I didn’t have the right people in my corner, didn’t ask the right questions of others or myself, and didn’t know how to make the right calls under pressure.

That experience is part of why I created The Executive Deck.

When I was losing, I needed a win. Even a small win every single day builds the confidence that builds discernment - the ability to know what you need, right now, and then to actually move.

Discernment can’t be taught. But it can be cultivated…before you need it.

I had to really sit with this one today. The peace part. Why do we love to fill our days with noise and busy-ness?

As my niece used to say: “bre-lax”! Breathe. Relax. Slow down.

Stop running from the thing you think you need to be perfect at; filling up the quiet space where you can really tap into your greatness with noise, clutter and distractions. All that BS is keeping you from achieving what you’re meant to be and do, and receiving that which is meant for you.

I know this to be true after 15 years in business and as a coach. I just needed a quiet Tuesday morning to remember it. I hope you have a peaceful one, too.

Who else out here is working with a space heater, a ski hat, gloves and hot tea…because: winter?!

Some days, it’s all glam…and others, well, eh! That’s life. That’s leadership, motherhood, relationships, entrepreneurship, all of it. Enjoy the ride. Bring snacks.
