☕ Cup of Motivation
If you want longevity in business, build relationships — not transactions.
Sales might pay the bills today… but relationships keep the doors open for years.
I’ll be honest — I can’t always remember everyone’s name. But I remember their drinks. I remember who gets oat milk, who needs that extra caramel drizzle, who’s studying for boards, whose birthday is coming up, and whose daughter just left for college.
We have small talks. I follow up. I ask how things turned out. And because of that familiarity? They return.
Not because of the coffee alone.
Because they feel seen.
Here are 3 simple ways to build relationships in your business (without being pushy or overstepping):
1️⃣ Remember preferences, not just purchases. “The usual?” goes a long way.
2️⃣ Make notes of milestones. Birthdays, big events, launches — and follow up later.
3️⃣ Ask one intentional question. Not invasive. Just thoughtful. “How did that meeting go?” shows you care.
Connection is the real currency.
Coffee is just the bridge. ☕
