IT TAKES A VILLAGE!
The final numbers are officially in for our annual Feed Our Vets Ashtabula golf outing from last weekend, and the results are absolutely staggering.
Huge shoutout to all the incredible volunteers who made this happen: Sasha Fagnilli nearly doubled our hole sponsors this year with her amazing outreach work. Sasha and Tara Michelle smoothly handled all the registration and sign-ins. "Bubs" Adam Dresnek and his wife Cindy crushed it on the grill making his famous food and always-present "special snacks." "Pops" Bill Dresnek took care of all the supply runs and kept our records meticulously straight. Stan, Ralph Dick, and the rest of the crew got the course prepped and beautifully set up with the hole sponsor signs. Our beverage cart team—Rachel Lewis, Stephanie Walker Stevens, Jamie Walker Dean, and Jamie’s daughter-in-law—generously donated 100% of their tips back to the cause. Mom, Amy, and several others took perfect care of the dining room, keeping the food hot and fresh for everyone.
A special thank you to our amazing sponsors: Assured Real Estate (Raegan Hagerdon) stepped up as our Premier Sponsor again this year. Your continued support is a massive part of this success. We also received incredibly generous donations from Andre Lasalle, CPA, and Brent Parks and family from No 2 Septic. Thank you to every single one of our hole sponsors who backed this event.
On the course highlights: We ended up with 23 teams playing 18 holes. The competition was close, with the winning team finishing at 56 and second place right behind them at 57. A special congratulations to Gary Hines, who hit an unforgettable hole-in-one on #2 and also managed to finish in the money in last place!
The Grand Total: The final tally from the event came to $6,367.77. Dresnek Disposal is chipping in to round that number up to an even $6,500.00! We are currently coordinating the next giveaway date with Tracy to proudly present the check to Feed Our Vets Ashtabula. None of this happens without a village, and we appreciate every single person involved.
