Something of a milestone this weekend.

Our venerable ‘03 Forester hit half a million miles.

We bought it new in 2003. And we bought it over the internet — a novel experience back then.

We found the color and trim package we wanted in a 5-speed manual at a few dealerships. Herman Jones at Subaru of Atlanta won us over, so we drove down to take a test drive and we came home with the car.

Since then, we’ve traveled and made memories from Maine to Florida and driven it daily. It’s still fun to drive.

My wife told our granddaughter it was kind of like the Subaru’s birthday. The granddaughter said we should make party hats for the car, so we did.

A car can’t log this many miles without great service. We’ve been blessed to have partners we trust, so cheers to:
