Sunshine and warmer weather means we’re spending as much time as we can out on the vineyard. Special vineyard tour bookings open throughout the summer for an in depth educational experience, but you never know when we might pop out into the vines for a quick taste of a wine or two in situ!

Wet Hot Ameri-Kabinett Summer is here! A summer of shouting from the rooftops just how perfect Kabinett is, particularly for the balmy summer days ahead. It’s sunshine and joy in a glass, and it’s only 9% alcohol… a summer refresher begging for porch hangs, boat rides, and dock sits. It may be too early to say what the song of the summer will be, but already know that the wine of the summer is Kabinett.

We’re celebrating Kabinett all summer long, and you can bet we’ve got a few more puns up our sleeves. Shoot us some ideas for how to spread the good word about Kabinett if you have ‘em!

With Memorial Day Weekend upon us, we thought it was a good time to recirculate this piece from .kevinsanjose highlighting wineries to visit here in the Finger Lakes. We’re in excellent company on this list and what we appreciate most is this line right here — “boutique in scale, serious in execution.” Thank you, Kevin! Wine dinner alert and local chef-owner appreciation moment! We’re thrilled to be collaborating with for a dinner showcasing Lahoma Vineyard wines on June 8th. 🙌⁣

Sarah met Carly Reynolds, chef and owner of Vine & Fig Wine Bistro in Rome, NY at the Riesling Camp in 2024. Carly’s commitment to shining a light on the wines in her backyard really is a model for what local collaboration can look like. She’s hosted weekly small-bite pairings with local producers to introduce her customers to new wines, has a thoughtfully curated a local list, and sources local ingredients (including from her own garden) for her menu. She truly walks the walk! ⁣

We’re pumped about this menu, and about the fact that Carly really wanted to highlight our single-vineyard wines in the pairings. Shout out to and for bringing us together!

We headed out into the sun to host half of the Riesling Camp crew today ( unite!)… one of our very favorite trade visits every year, which provides an in-depth look at all things not just Riesling, but Finger Lakes grape growing, winemaking, and community. ⁣
⁣
The theme of today’s visit was “What Cool Climate Really Means”… which seems a little ironic, given the unseasonable 85+ degree temps in the region today. The truth of the matter is, climate change means earlier budding and erratic weather patterns — both challenges that we take in stride year-to-year, doing the best we can to highlight the beauty of what we grow here. ⁣
⁣
And make no mistake, it may be hot out there today, but we’re absolutely a cool climate growing region! We’re back to mid-50s by later this week. All a part of the fun here in the FLX.

Don’t believe everything you see… because we’ve actually landed in Germany for part two of our trip! And we can’t believe we were invited to the “Wine Ball” - the crown jewel of the VDP (and Wiesbaden’s) social calendar.

We packed our best outfits 💃🕺🏼 and had a wonderful time, from a 1989 Spätburgunder Ice Wine 🤯 to conversations in excited and broken German 🥳

Next up? A much needed day off with no plans, and then onto the International Riesling Symposium. Stay tuned to our stories as we show our wines in Germany and make the most of our last few days on the road!

We’ve been growing so fast that we haven’t been able to keep up with sharing the news on where to find our wines! We want to thank our amazing partners in Missouri for their incredible support and a great week in the market earlier this month. Special thanks to The Wine Merchant (pictured above), and Chili Spot (pictured below) for hosting us during our visit. As you can see here, we had a bit of fun!
