If your business has been feeling harder than it should lately I want you to sit with something for
a second.

The difficulty you are experiencing is almost never about how hard you are working. Most of the
women I work with are working incredibly hard. The difficulty is usually about what is, or isn’t,
underneath all of that effort.

Offers that were never quite clearly defined. Messaging that is close but not specific enough to
consistently attract the right people. Revenue that comes in strong one month and disappears
the next because there is no real system behind how clients find you. And a plan that exists more as a feeling than an actual road map.

When these things are missing or unclear the business works against you instead of for you.
Everything takes more energy than it should. Growth feels unpredictable. And no matter how much you do it never quite feels like enough.

Here is what I want you to know. None of it is permanent and none of it means you are doing
something wrong. It means your foundation needs some real attention. And that is one of the
most solvable problems there is when you have the right support behind you.

Nobody told me that “doing it all” would look like this.

I spent a long time trying to build my business the right way. The way that looked good on paper, made sense to everyone around me, and fit neatly into the version of success I had been handed. Stable. Predictable. Impressive at dinner parties.

And then life happened. Three kids. A brick and mortar business. A coaching practice. A network of hundreds of women. A cold cup of coffee on my desk that I keep forgetting to drink. (Don’t worry, we switched to iced now 😉)

Here is what I have learned from all of it. There is no “right way” that works for everyone. There is only the way that works for you. The one built around your real life, your real goals, and your real definition of what winning actually looks like.

Mine involves a lot of juggling, a lot of laughing, and occasionally finding a snack in my laptop bag. And I would not trade it for anything.

I want to talk about something that I think a lot of women in business are experiencing right now but not necessarily naming.

Being busy and being productive are not the same thing. And the gap between them is where a lot of really talented, really hardworking women are quietly losing momentum without understanding why.

Busy is a full calendar, a running to-do list, and the feeling of always being behind. It feels like effort and it looks like hustle. But effort and hustle without direction are a one way ticket to burnout-ville.

Productive is knowing exactly what you are working on and why. It is being able to draw a straight line between what you did today and the goal you are moving toward. It is fewer things done with more intention behind them.

The shift between the two does not come from working harder. It comes from getting clear on your goals, your priorities, and what actually belongs on your plate versus what is just keeping you occupied.

That is one of the first things I work through with every woman I coach. Because when you have that clarity, everything else gets so much easier and dare I say, fun!

You know that feeling. You leave a workshop or a coaching experience completely fired up, ready to finally make things happen.

Then you go home… Back to the same business, the same questions, the same uncertainty about what to actually do next.

I spent years watching that happen to women who were more than capable of building something incredible. And it was never because they lacked drive or belief or talent. It was because inspiration alone was never going to be enough to get them there.

This is why I work the way I work. I come from an accounting and business background. I spent years running a real brick and mortar business. I know what it actually takes to build something sustainable, not just exciting, not just aligned, but genuinely working. And when I sit down with a woman I am not just there to remind her how powerful she is. I am there to help her build the plan that matches that power.

The fire matters. It is real and it is necessary. But the plan behind it is what makes it last.
