Comparison gets a bad reputation. And I understand why. Left unchecked it can quietly drain your confidence and pull your focus somewhere it does not belong.

But I want to offer a different way of looking at it.

Comparison is almost always pointing at something. When you feel that pull toward someone else’s success, their visibility, their growth, it is rarely actually about them. It is about you. Specifically about something you want that you have not yet given yourself permission to pursue or even fully admit to yourself.

Comparison is desire in disguise. And desire is direction.

The question worth asking when it shows up is not why do they have what I do not. It is what is this showing me about what I actually want. Because that question leads somewhere useful. It gives you something to build toward instead of something to feel bad about.

Comparison only becomes a problem when you use it to shrink yourself instead of to direct yourself. The next time it creeps in, get curious before you get critical. Ask what it is pointing at. And then go build that thing.

Come find me in my DMs if you need help figuring out how. Let’s get a 1:1 strategy session on the calendar. 💛

I need every woman who has been sitting on an opportunity because she is not sure she is ready to put herself forward for it to come to the front. 👏

You are not asking for a favor when you reach out. You are offering one. Your story, your expertise, your ability to deliver in a way that only you can. That is real, specific, irreplaceable value. The person on the other end does not know what they are missing until you tell them.

Opportunities do not go to the most polished or the most experienced or the one with the biggest following. They go to the one who asked. Who showed up in someone’s inbox and said here is who I am, here is what I bring, and here is why this makes sense for both of us.

I know the fear is real. The fear of being told no. The fear of putting yourself out there and having it not land. But here is what I want you to remember. No is not the end. It is just not yet. And every time you put yourself forward, whether it lands or not, you get better at doing it.

Your story is ready. Your expertise is ready. The only thing standing between you and that opportunity is the message you have not sent yet.

Send it. 🔥

I would not change a single season of what building this business has put me through. Every hard moment, every slow month, every decision that kept me up at night built something in me that the next level required. I believe that with everything I have.

But there are things I wish someone had whispered to me at the very beginning.

Ask for help sooner. Not because you cannot figure it out alone but because the right support makes the journey richer, not shorter. The right mentor, the right community, the right women in your corner, they do not remove the hard parts. They make sure you do not have to carry them alone.

Charge your worth from day one. The undercharging season taught me things I needed to learn. But you do not have to earn the right to be paid well for excellent work. You just have to decide you are ready. The decision comes first. The confidence follows.

Stop waiting to feel ready. Ready is not something that arrives before you start. It builds while you are already moving. Every season I spent waiting was a season someone out there needed what only I could offer.

And get in the right rooms early. Not just for the opportunities but for the perspective, the truth telling, and the friendships that will hold you when building feels impossibly hard.

I share this not because I wish my path had looked different. Every part of it was exactly what it needed to be. But if I can offer any of it to you before you have to learn it the long way, that is exactly what I am here for.

Come find me in my DMs. I would love to be in your corner for whatever season you are in right now.

I do not get on Route 80 and just vibe. I use Waze. I know exactly where I am going, how long it is going to take, and which exits I need to take to get there. I am not out here hoping the right turn shows up at the right time.

And yet that is exactly how a lot of women are running their businesses. Working hard, taking exits as they come, hoping the right clients find them, wondering why the journey feels so much harder than it should.

Running your business without a real plan is not hustle. It is just driving fast with no destination.

The plan does not do the work for you. That part is still yours. But it tells you where you are going. It helps you make decisions from direction instead of from reaction. It lets you know whether what you are doing every day is actually moving you forward or just keeping you in motion.

You do not need to figure out the whole route on your own. You just need someone to help you put the destination in and map out how to get there.

That is exactly what a strategy session looks like. One focused conversation and you will leave knowing exactly where you are going and how to get there. Drop STRATEGY in my DMs and let’s get your GPS set up.

Let’s reframe something that I think a lot of women in business are getting wrong right now.

Your business does not need more of you. It needs a more specific version of you.

It does not need more hours. It needs the right hours spent on the things that actually move the needle rather than the tasks that keep you feeling productive without building anything. More time in the wrong direction is still the wrong direction.

It does not need more content. It needs a clearer message behind what you are already creating. One specific enough that the right person stops and thinks she is talking directly to me.

And it does not need you to hustle harder. It needs you to make fewer decisions with more intention behind them. To stop saying yes to everything and get ruthless about what actually belongs in your business right now. Focus is one of the most underused strategies available to you.

What your business needs most is probably not more effort. It is more clarity, more direction, and a willingness to look at it honestly and make the decisions that will actually move it forward.

If you are ready for that kind of conversation come find me in my DMs. That is exactly what we work through together in a strategy session. 💛

Going all in on my business changed more than what I was building. It changed what I was willing to stop apologizing for.

I stopped apologizing for my prices. For so long I would soften the number before I even said it, add disclaimers, brace for the reaction. Going all in meant accepting that the right client would never need me to justify my value. And the ones who did were simply not my people.

I stopped apologizing for my boundaries. For saying no to things that did not align, for protecting my time like the finite resource it is, for choosing my family and my vision over the pressure to always be available. Boundaries are not walls. They are what makes building something sustainable actually possible.

And I stopped apologizing for wanting more. More income, more impact, more of the life I had been told was too much to ask for. Ambition is not greed. Wanting more for yourself does not take anything from anyone else. It took me too long to stop acting like it did.

Every time I stopped apologizing for something I got a little more of myself back. And my business grew with it.

If you are ready to stop shrinking and start building like you mean it, come find me in my DMs. I would love to be in your corner. 💛

Lets talk about some of the things I have watched happen inside the Next Generation Network because I think they say more about the power of community than anything I could explain on my own.

I have watched women walk into their first event not entirely sure why they came and leave with a connection that turned into a client. Not because they had a polished pitch ready. Because they showed up, had a genuine conversation, and let the right person find them.

I have watched women get introduced to someone who introduced them to someone else who opened a door they did not even know existed. That is how proximity works in real life. It is rarely linear and almost always better than anything you could have engineered on your own.

And I have watched women come into the network looking for business opportunities and leave with something they did not expect at all. Real friendships. Women who understand what they are carrying because they are carrying something too. Women who show up for each other in ways that go far beyond a referral or a collaboration.

That is not a side effect of being in the right room. That is the whole point of it.

If you have been building alone and you are ready to be surrounded by women who get it, I would love to tell you more about what we are building inside NGN. 💛

“Gabby, are you really this positive all the time?”

Honestly… kind of. 😂

Not because everything is always going right.

I have hard days. Business gets weird. Money gets tight. Plans fall apart. I get disappointed. I question things. Life be LIFE-ING.

But I also genuinely believe that something can be hard without everything being bad.

I can have a bad business week and still believe in what I’m building.

I can be disappointed and still be grateful.

I can have absolutely no idea how something is going to work out and still believe that somehow, we’re going to figure it out.

That’s the part people sometimes mistake for positivity.

I’m not ignoring what’s happening.

I just refuse to let one hard season convince me that there isn’t still so much good here.

And maybe that’s less about being positive all the time…

and more about deciding what gets to have the final say. 🤍

Your monthly reminder as a woman in business: go back and follow up. 💌

Because I know we love talking about getting more leads, growing our audience and getting more eyes on our business…

but what happened to the people who were already interested?

The woman who asked for your pricing.

The person who said “circle back with me.”

The proposal you’re still waiting on.

The DM that started with “I need this” and somehow went nowhere.

Go back through your emails, DMs, CRM, notes, whatever system you use and look at the conversations that still need a next step.

You might need more leads.

But you also might need a better follow-up habit.

Consider this your monthly reminder. 🤍
