Tonight’s training wasn’t just about drills—it was about pride in our equipment and readiness to serve.
Our crew took the time to go over Truck of the Month, 702, making sure everything was checked off, cleaned, inventoried, and organized from top to bottom. It’s the kind of work that often goes unseen, but it’s critical to making sure we’re ready when the call comes in.
A well-maintained truck means a safer, more efficient response for our community. Great job to everyone who put in the effort tonight. 🚒

Dear Patrol Family,

It is with deepest sadness that I inform you of a member’s on duty passing. Master Trooper Stien Davis, Jr. (Troop B, District 7, Robeson County) was involved in a single vehicle collision shortly after midnight this morning and was pronounced deceased.

The initial reports are that he was on duty and traveling in his patrol vehicle when he lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the road and overturned in a swampy roadside area while on NC 130. The specifics related to the cause of the collision are under investigation at this time.

Master Trooper Davis was a member of the 141st Basic Patrol School and served our state and the Robeson County area with distinction. Any forthcoming details related to his passing as well as information related to a celebration of life ceremony will be shared as we move forward.

An ice storm can create dangerous conditions quickly. Taking a few steps now can help keep you and your family safe.

Before and during an ice storm:
- Stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Ice makes driving extremely dangerous.
- Keep flashlights, batteries, blankets, and extra food and water on hand.
- Charge cell phones and backup batteries ahead of time.
- Use generators and space heaters safely never indoors and away from windows or doors.
-Check on elderly neighbors or anyone who may need assistance.
- Keep pets inside and warm

Call 911 ONLY for emergencies, including:
• Fires or smoke
• Medical emergencies
• Downed power lines creating an immediate danger
• Motor vehicle crashes with injuries or blocked roadways
• Life-threatening situations

❄️ Do NOT call 911 for:
• Power outages
• Slippery roads
• Non-injury vehicle slide-offs
• Weather updates
If you see a vehicle with yellow tape they means it had already been checked

For non-emergency needs, contact your utility provider or local non-emergency number.

Your preparedness helps keep emergency lines open for those who truly need them.
Stay safe, stay warm, and look out for one another.
